Living in the Pickering, Ontario area, the homeowners wanted their brand-new build not to feel like a standard suburban house. They wanted something more custom, and Marshall Homes was able to work with Erin Interiors and AyA Kitchen Gallery to create a personalized kitchen renovation with the family’s needs in mind. This brilliant new home feels open, polished and personal. The new AyA kitchen remodel in AyA’s Medio shaker door featuring Oyster paired with a Wintergreen kitchen island is crisp and exquisite. It makes a wonderful first impression, bathed in natural daylight that illuminates the space. The bold green kitchen island really captures your attention, a strong pop of colour that stands out with character and adds a vibrance to the room. It grounds the white kitchen space visually and is the centralized location for all activity. A white painted kitchen is the perfect canvas to add a secondary finish or pop of colour, it elevates the space with a custom feel a provides a touch of drama. A simple and beautiful white stone slab with light veining is carried throughout the kitchen in the countertops and backsplash. Stacked upper kitchen cabinets provide ample storage with a mix of glass insert doors producing visual interest.

Glass doors are a great addition to a kitchen renovation as they can showcase the dinnerware or other decorative objects and lighten the feel of the upper cabinets. The transitional Aspen range hood pairs well with the Medio shaker door style. Base pull-out drawers next to the beautiful Wolf gas range keep cooking ingredients and oils organized. Function and organization in the kitchen design make for a more efficient experience making everything easily accessible. The adjacent livingroom seamlessly extends the interior design aesthetic, with the colour palette and finishes visually merging the two areas. Built-in bookshelf cabinetry featuring similar white base cabinets and green wallpaper tie into the kitchen and its sensibility.
