Serene and stunning in soft white and cool grey tones, this contemporary kitchen space designed by Heather Raining is elegant in its balancing neutrals with patterns and hints of black punctuation. AyA's Windermere door was a perfect fit for this home, merging the clean modern feel with old craftsman charm. Keeping the cabinetry colours neutral creates a calming effect and allows personal items to pop. A striking backsplash in contrast to more subtle hints of wood texture on the delightful shiplap hood and display cabinet add just enough warmth to pull everything together.
The Farkas’ were looking to update their entire kitchen space by making it more contemporary in style and improving the flow and layout. Still drawn to the traditional style and feel, the Berkshire door was a perfect way to bridge the desired effect for a more modern feel while maintaining elegance throughout the space. AyA’s Clay painted finish is an updated substitute to the classic and ever-popular White kitchen. Entertaining and family time are important in this home so creating seating on both sides of the island allows for a more social and interactive dining experience.

The project was a major undertaking which required taking the penthouse right back to the exterior brick and exposing the steel trusses which inspired this classic take on an industrial space. Playing off a neutral Clay finish, the homeowner wanted to combine clean lines with visual interest. The use of warm woods, and live-edged reclaimed wood offers a nice juxtaposition to the steel-like finish of AyA's Glazed Pitch Black. Without detracting from the beautiful backsplash, eletrical outlets were cleverly tucked into the side of the pantries on either side of the countertop.

The previously cramped and closed in space was now open, bright and functional in a better flowing space. Barbara really wanted wine bottle storage on the wall but space would not permit it in the specific location. As a compromise it was moved just above the fridge and became a neat feature. This contemporary kitchen space is filled with details that play very well collectively, styled beautifully by Lauren Kosowan. Leaded mirror insert doors on the pantry wall are an unexpected focal point that adds some flare creating the illusion of a larger space. Beautiful bold veining in the countertops and backsplash drape the room in elegance. Custom sized doors help to create balance, symmetry and clean lines throughout the kitchen.

Entrepreneur and Mom, Candice enjoys art, creativity and is the owner of a fun underwear company, The Candi Factory. She approached AyA with the goal for a better kitchen layout with more storage for her charming High Park home in Toronto. The end result is a stunning modern/industrial kitchen with clean lines and juxtaposition to eclectic charm of an older High Park area. The kitchen now features a lot of storage without feeling cluttered and a couple of places to display her playful stemware and collections. The main kitchen area features no uppers and a space to easily access glasses and mugs were a must, being limited by the location of the window a custom open shelf was made beside the fridge.

Modern, sleek and in AyA's Chelsea White High Gloss doors. This clean and bright kitchen reflects the warm daylight into the entire space. Floor to ceiling cabinets provide ample storage and really draws the eye up highlighting the tall ceilings. Stainless steel appliances and dark countertops add contrast and interest. Dark wood floors continue the high contrast and also create a balance to the luminous space.
AyA Designer Heather Raininger worked closely with Norma to create an elegant and refined Paris Inspired space. AyA's Seaforth Latte door surrounds the kitchen reflecting daylight while adding a traditional touch. Glass insert doors flanking the window were added to help create symmetry while visually breaking up the cabinetry. Below the beautiful under-mount sink is a practical double recycling centre. Luxurious white statuario marble countertop and backsplash pair perfectly with the cabinets, unifying both and adding a natural warmth while making the space appear larger. A wall of cabinetry and storage frame a glorious wine fridge, so she can store all that French wine, am I right! New French doors simulate a Paris apartment patio.

This open concept kitchen looking on to the garden features AyA's Cirrus Clove Wenge and Apex Red Lacobel doors. A bold but refreshing combination, the red glass flip-up doors add a pop of colour and couple well with the rich Clove Wenge Doors. The adjacent wall features a servery area with open shelves to display select pieces while adding more storage. A sizable island grounds the space in AyA's Cirrus Honey Zebrano. The exotic Zebrano grain pulls from the dark wood while still making a statement, the island is spacious enough to pull up a couple of bar stools to have breakfast or finish some homework.

AyA's Honey Cherry Charleston cabinetry was chosen as the perfect complement for this one of a kind cottage. The Charleston's solid cherry center panel and frame speak to the craftsmanship and appreciation of woodworking that is evident throughout the residence. Classic details such as the traditional large crown moulding and light valance tie the cabinetry in beautifully with the vintage styling of the Heartland refrigerator and stove and the classic granite tops. This cottage also features a special screened-in porch with heated floors and removable windows for the ultimate year-round BBQ experience.

With a small and dated kitchen awkwardly located within this High Park home, it was time to shake things up! The homeowners decided to flip the layout, moving the former kitchen from the front of the main entrance door, to where the previous family room was located. By removing the wall between the old family room and the breakfast area, a large, bright and inviting space was created.
A center island in Honey Cherry is a nice contrast to the Painted Oyster cabinets surrounding, and helps tie into the natural old world charm throughout the house. This space is filled with the convenience of pull-outs and drawers, while allowing for more casual storage of cook books and a wonderful wine collection. This is a kitchen that begs to host dinner parties!

Set on the south shore of Georgian Bay, this residence harmonizes with its surrounding landscape. The consistent palette of cedar soffits and ceiling cladding, window and doorframes seamlessly transition between the interior and exterior spaces. Complementing the cedar is the warm tone and simple lines of the Manhattan Honey Cherry cabinetry. The island is perfect for entertaining as it houses a wine fridge, integrated dishwasher and custom sink, while the dovetailed manhogany waterfall butcher block top frames the cherry cabinets. On the kitchen's back wall, the focal point is the range and hood. Shifting planes of upper cabinetry create visual interest and draws the eye in.
