Simplicity reigns in this spacious eat-in kitchen where the interplay of materials, of colour and texture create a luxurious statement in urban living. The warmth of this space is achieved first and foremost through the choice of a cinnamon finish on the Maple Manhattan door. As with the other doors in the MODA collection, this slab door is a staple of modern, urban design. The simplicity of the door style lends itself to the creation of architecturally bold forms and draws the eye to the details.
In this case the details are to be found in the surface hardware. The long stainless steel handles give a look of sleek sophistication to the island and central kitchen area. In contrast, more discrete square knobs were chosen for the pantry units and above the built-in fridge and ovens so that attention is instead on the larger forms.
The furniture feel of the cabinetry and distinction of forms has been achieved by the subtle addition of contemporary metal legs to key components of the kitchen, such as the cooking area and bank of pantries. Tying these details all together are the stainless steel appliances and fixtures, the dark quart counter and the fine texture of the stone backsplash.
